Invisalign

Invisalign®
With our specialty Invisalign aligners, you can have your teeth straightened with nearly undetectable aligners. Some advantages to specialty braces over traditional metal braces are:
• Clear-Most people won’t even know you’re wearing them
• Comfortable-The plastic aligners are gentle in your mouth
• Removable-Take them out to eat, brush, or floss
• Hygienic-The smooth surfaces stay cleaner
• Affordable-In most cases, the cost is comparable to metal braces
• Fast-Get to a beautiful smile quickly

Tooth Colored Fillings

Tooth Colored Fillings
The process of applying the tooth colored filling is similar to a traditional amalgam(silver) filling. The decay is removed and the tooth is prepared to accept the tooth colored filling. The dentist then applies several layers of tooth colored filling material, which is chemically hardened and cured with a special light. The filling is then polished to complete the process. Tooth colored fillings blend with surrounding teeth and enhance a bright, youthful appearance. No one will notice they’re there-including you!

Dental Crowns

Crowns
A crown is a tooth-like covering placed over a carefully prepared existing tooth. Used to strengthen, restore, or improve the appearance of your natural tooth, a crown is placed on an individual tooth much like a thimble over your finger. Crowns serve many functions. One of the most common is to support the tooth when there is no longer sufficient tooth structure left to place a filling. Crowns may also be used to protect the structure of a tooth that is fractured or broken.

Dental Bridges

Bridges
A bridge is a custom device anchored to neighboring teeth that replaces one or more missing teeth. When a lost tooth is replaced with bridgework, the teeth on either side of the missing one must be prepared as crowns to serve as anchors to hold the prosthetic (replacement) teeth in place. Bridge treatment reverses the negative impact of missing teeth in a variety of ways: Restores and maintains the natural bite; Prevents unnatural stress on other teeth; Keeps opposing teeth in their proper place; Prevents shifting and tilting of adjacent teeth; Discourages further dental decay and periodontal disease; Enhances your smile, speech, and chewing function
.

Root Canals

Root Canals
Root canals treat disorders of the nerve of the tooth. It used to be that a tooth with a diseased or infected nerve had to be removed. In 95 percent of the cases today, however, this is no longer true. The following are the most common factors contributing to a need for root canal treatment: Trauma, such as a physical blow to a tooth or a constant striking of a tooth in the opposite jaw that traumatizes the tooth; Physical irritation caused by a deep decay or a very large filling; Severe gum disease.

Tooth Extractions

Extractions
We make every effort to help you keep your teeth, but occasionally, an extraction is the only option available. Sometimes a specialist is required to do an extraction.

Dentures

Dentures
We offer natural looking dentures and partials to fit your needs. The process takes several appointments. Your dentures are shaped to look like natural healthy tissue making them comfortable and easy to clean. You’ll find your new dentures to be the most lifelike and natural dentures you’ve ever had.

Periodontal Therapy

Periodontal Therapy
Periodontal disease damages the gums and reduces their ability to protect vulnerable areas. It is the single most common cause of tooth loss in adults. Signs of gum disease include: Gums that bleed when you brush or floss your teeth; Red, swollen or tender gums; Gums that recede or gums that shrink away from your teeth; Pus between your teeth; Pain when chewing; Calculus or tartar build-up; Changes in bite; Loose teeth; Bad breath or chronic bad taste; Teeth sensitivity to hot and cold.

We know from recent studies that an estimated 75 percent of American adults over the age of 35 have some form of periodontal disease. Until its advanced stage, periodontal disease is usually painless. Talk to us if you have concerns about the connection between gum disease and your overall health. We’ll take special care with your oral health needs and if necessary, refer you to a periodontist who specializes in gum disease.

Dental Implants

Implants
Dental Implants provide a look and feel that’s very close to natural teeth. Implants are metal posts or frames surgically placed beneath your gums by a specialist. After placement, the implants fuse to the bone of your jaw and act as artificial tooth roots. Replacement teeth are attached to the implant by Dr. Rossen. Since bone holds the implant in place, you have a natural looking tooth that will function much like your original tooth

Braces

Braces
Traditional metal braces are a system of brackets that are bonded to your teeth and hold interconnecting wires. The wires used today, made of a nickel-titanium, are generally thinner and more resilient than those used in previous years, shortening treatment time and improving overall comfort. Over time, the steady, gentle pressure applied to the teeth helps move them into the correct position. With metal braces, you don’t have to worry about keeping up with anything that is removable. Dr. Rossen can help you decide which type of treatment is best for you.

Expansion Appliance

Expansion Appliances
Some patients need an expansion appliance before they are ready for braces. Dr. Rossen can do an exam and recommend the best plan of treatment for your individual needs.
